Victim Notification
Throughout the criminal justice process, crime victims, have a right to be notified and receive information relating to the crime, court case, sentence and release date of persons serving sentences in state or federal prison.
For information regarding an ongoing case with law enforcement contact your local office handling the case. Be aware, information may be limited if there is an open/ongoing investigation. If you are having issues communicating with law enforcement, contact your local victim services provider for assistance.

Ongoing Case with Law Enforcement

For information regarding an ongoing case with law enforcement contact your local office handling the case. Be aware, information may be limited if there is an open/ongoing investigation. Court Hearing Notifications
You must contact the paralegal handling the case. If you are the victim or a witness in a court case, you can register to receive “VINE notifications” (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) through the District Attorney’s Office handling your case. The paralegal will register your phone number and/or email you wish to receive notification.
Custody Status Notifications
To receive notification of an incarcerated individual’s release, you can register with VineLink to receive same day notifications by phone call, text, or email regarding release information and custody status.
To ensure you receive updates on information relating to the offender’s release, fill out and submit a Victim’s Right to Notification form and return it to the Department of Corrections.
